Product Details
This 15-minute video addresses the first step in Jeanne Liedtka's 15-step Design Thinking methodology: "When to apply design thinking?" Some problems are better suited to traditional analytic approaches, and it is important to make sure to select the kind of problem for which design thinking is especially valuable as an approach. This video asks you to reflect on the question, "What makes this opportunity a good issue for design thinking?" It is one of 22 videos that comprise the Design Thinking course developed at Darden. It is meant to accompany any one of three cases (Arena Industries [UVA-S-0240], Trenton State College [UVA-S-0241], or Great Lakes [UVA-S-0248]) that explore the design thinking approach to innovative problem solving.
