This case asks students to step into the shoes of Rani Russell Shea, the newly appointed CEO of Siemens Advanta North America (SANA), as she seeks to lead change within the organization. SANA had consistently missed its quarterly sales projections, anticipated acquisitions had failed to materialize, and the division had cultural issues that were prompting some employees to quit. The case describes the actions that Shea took to change the organization's culture, grow its sales pipeline, and adjust its sales projections. At the conclusion of the case, Shea must decide what to do next to continue SANA’s growth and meet the leadership team’s ambitious sales targets for the upcoming year.
